I must admit...Like others above me I wish you well.
I must admit I take the weather for granted.. or did so until resently. The same goes with our power and telephones. Through blogging I have started to see how others suffer at these times and it makes me now realise how lucky I am that way.
The hills of the Pennine range take most of the bad weather around here, leaving the towns below to suffer the flash floods and such like. Where I am is quite high up and any downpours whizz by down the hill. Our power and gas are encased underground and it normally holds in the worst of weather. The down side of all this is I live in a bricks and mortar mill town, where houses are crammed together and boy are the houses small.
I think I would swop powercuts and downed lines to live out of town on a hillside where my next neighbour is just the flickering light in the distance. I don't mean to make light of any hardship you feel at times, I just long to live in the countryside I normally post about.

Great post and it really had me thinking about my space and where we live.
TomTomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04167792394551286975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12261260.post-91383525643014967102008-03-18T23:32:00.000-06:002008-03-18T23:32:00.000-06:00Wow Marvin, thats quite a bit of water there. They finally fixed it when they decided we would keep nagging until they did. Finally a concious worked found the problem and fixed it in no time.Lisa at Greenbowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07743973292900758183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12261260.post-72894945661505538392008-03-18T17:25:00.000-06:002008-03-18T17:25:00.000-06:00Oh Marvin I hope you have your hip boots ready. G...Oh Marvin I hope you have your hip boots ready. Geez. Your garden looks worse than ours and ours is pretty bad considering that we don't have a creek going by our house. At least we didn't before todays rain. The rain is to continue here through tomorrow too. Maybe we will meet up floating down a river someplace. tee hee...Lisa at Greenbowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07743973292900758183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12261260.post-61126558826360284762008-03-18T15:42:00.000-06:002008-03-18T15:42:00.000-06:00Much luck to you! We are expecting about 3 inches total. That is a lot of rain for us too and we will have creeks where grass grew.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
