Super Full Moon

Our sky was overcast all day Saturday (3/19/11). Our forecast didn't predict any clearing until sometime on Sunday. Jo and I were resigned to not getting to see the super full moon. However, our sky unexpectedly cleared quickly around eight o'clock and there it was. Beautiful!
.
Yeah! Glad you got it posted! Lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, and beautiful photo too!
ReplyDeleteYou got it very nicely. Personally I also gave it try on 19th March, but could not get a clear shot with my camera.
ReplyDeleteoh beautiful - our skies were cloudy the whole night!
ReplyDeleteNice photo..it was so bright it would like haveing outside lights on.
ReplyDeleteHooray! Our skies were nice and clear but our moon photographer was away at the javascript:void(0)fair. I didn't try.
ReplyDeleteThe best thing was the owls singing to the moon.
Lucky you! Our skies were cloudy all weekend and still are cloudy. I'm so happy for you both that you got that shot!
ReplyDeleteLucky you to get to see it - especially when you have to wait for the clouds to make up their minds whether or not to let you. The surrounding darkness and the single branch set the mood.
ReplyDeleteInteresting - thinking about it element by element, I'd expect this photo to have an eerie feel to it. But it doesn't at all - more a peaceful and relaxing glow, like a fireplace at the end of a long day.
Beautiful photo, Jo. I watched the moon for quite a while; it was truly lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo Jo. It has been so cloudy around here that I wouldn't have known there was a full moon if everyone hadn't been talking about it and showing photos of it. Darn the luck.
ReplyDeleteSuper shot! The tree really adds to the image!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your super moon - lucky you!
ReplyDeleteYou had a much better look at it than we did! Our clouds never completely went away.
