Fall Color Past



A strong and gusty south wind blew all day Wednesday preceding the arrival of a new cold front. The wind stripped away almost all our colorful leaves. Only the oaks managed to hold onto their brown leaves. Oh, well. All things must pass.

Tree Bites Rock




It looks as if the tree is biting off the corner of the rock, but I won't get too concerned unless the oak starts chewing.

Oak Besma Moth




Oak Besma - Hodges#6885 (Besma quercivoraria)

Range: Found throughout eastern US/Canada.

Food: Oak, elm, poplar, willows, and white spruce.
