Perhaps one of the best named plants that we have. You just don't hear things named after the devil anymore, do you? He seems to have gone out of vogue.
Perfectly named.. A very interesting post.. I will read up abit more about this.. as for the Devil.. he still about I'm sure.. just waiting his chance.

Reminds me of one evening (on a road trip years ago,) I almost fell onto a barrel cactus in Arizona...
