Jo and I saw many birds during our brief visit to the Birding Center: Roseate Spoonbills, Black-necked Stilts, Avocets, Long-billed Curlews, Blue-winged Teal, Reddish Egrets, Dowitchers and numerous Willets and Sandpipers to name a few.
While the birds were within easy viewing range, most were too far away to capture with our camera. Only a couple came close enough to the observation pier for me to photograph.

Beautiful birds Marvin, glad to see that you had time to get a way a bit on your trip to the big T. Reminds me a bit of my florida trip, although I bonked on the avocets, stilts, and curlews. Isn't amazing how many birds are down there along the coast?

Nice photos, Marvin. I like the coot especially.
Beautiful pictures! The close ups of the egret and moorhen are wonderful.
Great to birds we get over here.. the Moorhen and the ones we don't..
Those are marvelous birds: they nearly posed for you there. I know you could only get the two but I would be thrilled with that, they are gorgeous photos.
I bet I have been here before. I have been to several birding centers in TX. I love Roseate Spoonbills. ONe of my favorite birds. Lucky you getting to see one.
