I have a sketch of one of these little beasties that I did back in 2008. Funny I just saw some again a few weeks ago. I don't see them often.
That is one beautiful critter. Can't say I've ever seen one.
...by the way, is the date stamp on the image off by a year?
I understand the date is just asking for confusion, but it is correct. I often check my photo archives to see what I was doing in previous years. I found this beetle from last year unidentified even though I now know it's identity.
That's a great shot of a really cool beetle.
