Daffodil

Our first fully open daffodil bloom of the year. This is one on the plants transplanted by the bulldozer, but not one of those trying to grow in the road. A strong and gusty south wind was doing it's best to shred the bloom and made taking an in-focus photo difficult.

Aside from the wind, Wednesday was a beautiful day. The temperature made it up to around 75ΒΊ (24ΒΊ C). It's almost impossible to believe that we had nine inches of snow on the ground just six days ago.

On our afternoon walk, Jo and I saw a large herd of does on the upper pasture and a covey of bobwhite quail at the bottom of the trail off the pasture.

Dear Marvin,
Seeing the first Daffodil is pure joy. Your photo looks great! Flowers can be very tricky to photgraph.
Seeing Doe and Quail must have made for a very pleasant walk!
I seldom see either.
Happy Spring,
Sherry

I'm so glad you enjoyed the 70's. We had 76 today! Too hot! HA HA!

Nice to have the flowers out, and your walk seems to have been a good one to... I find it funny also how last week the snow was so bad for you all there. This weather is really mess up at times..

I like that picture a lot, we should have those blooming by the end of the month or early April. At least we have no snow here now too and the temperatures are in the 40s-50s at times.
