Tree Shadow in the Snow

Right after our last snow we got a few brief moments of sunshine before the sky clouded back up again.

The sun is out here today. I bet I could get all sorts of shadow shots. This is a good one.

I think snow makes a wonderful canvas for tree shadows. Bare trees are so very graceful.

You got a LOT more snow than we did here. Nice shadow shot, Marvin.

Great shot, Marvin. You've got to be on the lookout for those and you caught it perfectly.

Beautiful! We recently had an Oak removed, and this opened up some new opportunities for tree shadow pictures. I was able to grab this one with my cell phone camera:

Yeah for sunshine (for you) - yeah for snow (for me) ;-)!

The trees make lacy shadow patterns. NIce for you to have a little bit of sun this time of year.

That's very pretty! Such a pitty that the clouds came along after and ruined the sunshine. Such is winter I guess.

I loved your comment about your little dog running around eating grasshoppers! I've never seen a dog do this! How gorgeous. And helpful!

Have a great week!

Looks very cold...yet the sunlight makes it inviting enough to want to play.

Hope your weekend has been treating you well.

If shadows could talk,
Just what would they say?
If you listen close,
You’ll hear them, you may.
Shadows do chatter
And gossip and talk
In the store windows,
Along the sidewalk,
Over the mountains,
On prairie and plain,
Begging for sunshine
And not days of rain;
Emboldened by light,
The stark shadows say:
“We’re out for a lark,
Please join us at play!”
